Michael will discuss how to derive an income in this ever-changing market and will explore how worldwide indie films can no longer rely on the traditional “premiering” at a festival, securing a distributor and releasing on cinema screens, before moving to a digital outlet. Michael will also discuss how indie filmmakers are going directly to online platforms and these online platforms are also producing their own content before posing the question – so where to from here?

Attendees will be provided with an insight into:

  • Distribution opportunities available to independent filmmakers
  • What to expect from a distributor
  • How to find a good distributor and set up a distribution deal
  • Daunting and changing landscapes for independent filmmakers

This event offers a unique opportunity for filmmakers to connect with distributors and to explore opportunities for distribution of their content.
