Screenworks, supported by Screen NSW, have curated this seminar on the why and how of attracting film and television production to regional NSW.

The Northern Rivers region’s magnificent natural attributes of National Parks, world heritage areas, rainforests and popular coastlines combined with easy access through international airports and a significant community of screen industry crew and professionals are our best assets to encourage production. With better promotion of the locations the region has to offer, there is potential to attract more inbound screen productions, bolster the local economy and create more jobs.

Come along to find out about the business of location attraction, how best to market your property, create extra revenue and generate free publicity. This seminar is aimed at location scouts (both professional and aspiring), location managers, and government location liaison and tourism officers.

Guest speakers include Matt Carroll, Director – Senior Manager Screen Destination Attraction at Screen NSW ( Stormboy, Breaker Morant) and Colin McDougall – Location Manager, Aus Locations  (Mad Max Fury Road, Pacific Rim). The seminar will also feature a panel of local practitioners working in location scouting, management and administration.
