Andy Jans-Brown is a prolific singer songwriter and multi-disciplined artist. In the past ten years Andy has toured extensively both in Australia and abroad. He has opened the show for Nick Cave and the bad seeds fronting his then Sydney band 'iris', He has had his songs played on national radio triple j, been interviewed on air by Rosie Beaton and had his film clip 'You got me thinking' broadcast on RAGE. Leading his band Andy Jans-Brown & Cozmic, Andy has produced 2 critically acclaimed double albums - 'Letting Go' (2012) and 'Sunshine Avenue' (2014) . As a community artists Andy has also worked in partnership with the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne and Berry Street with kids who survived the tragic Victorian bushfires. Andy shared his knowledge of music, theatre and art to help rebuild a sense of hope within the community. Andy has also worked through Awesome Arts WA to engage outback remote communities. As a playwright Andy has collaborated with Dave Houston of Full On Theatre to write 'Escape from Worryville' and 'Hard Rubbish Day' 2 musical Theatre in Education plays. As a poet Andy has published the book, 'SMUT' featuring the poetry of himself, Benjamin W. Wild and Si Jay Gould. As an actor Andy has acted on the TV Series 'Blue Heelers' and more recently been a part of the main cast for indie film 'Innuendo'. As a buyer/ Dresser Andy worked for Fremantle Media on the TV Series 'Killing Time'. Andy is committed to the process of expressing the voice of our times through many communicative mediums. Andy's current project is in follow up to his two double albums, a musical feature film script titled , 'Hell is Light', currently in pre-production.
