Scott Walters & Kristin Bass formed Mayfields after we moved to the Northern Rivers from Sydney in 2005 where we took over operation of the Eltham Hotel restaurant. The name Mayfield is derived from the Eltham area which prior to the early 1920’s was known as Mayfield. Prior to our move from Sydney Kristin and I had worked exclusively within the hospitality industry, I as a chef and Kristin as both chef and front of house. Our combined talents have made us a successful team that has earned much acclaim within the local community. In late 2016 we acquired a food authority registered food trailer enabling complete mobility and were fortunate enough to cater for the ABC production ‘Deadlock’ in mid 2017 where we received high praise from the producers, cast and crew. This mobility allowed us to cook in remote locations, verified to us via call sheets only 12 hours prior to confirmation of destination, and provide three meals through the day to all cast and crew on set. This was both an exciting and rewarding achievement.
