Pim Hendrix has recently returned to Australia after 17 years pursuing his screenwriting career in the USA, predominantly in Los Angeles, but also more recently in Austin, Texas. He began his writing career as a journalist for newspapers, magazines and ABC Radio, before moving into screenwriting after optioning his second screenplay, BLAME IT ON THE WEATHER to Grundy Motion Pictures. He moved to Sydney and continued writing film optioning numerous original screenplays and working as both writer for hire and a writer and script editor for numerous TV series including Heartbreak High, Breakers, Sweat and Echo Point. After winning a Green Card in the Lottery, he moved to Los Angeles and spent 17 years in the United States, developing his craft, learning the biz, working on numerous feature film projects both original and as a writer for hire, as well as working as a script consultant and script editor, and writing coverage for both screenwriting students and professionals. He is currently continuing writing spec scripts and looking to teach screenwriting in the Northern Rivers area.
