books to screen KC UPDATED

On November 12, 2015, Screenworks in partnership with Byron Bay Writers’ Festival presented “Books-to-Screen: Pathways to Adapting & Optioning Workshop”. The workshop featured screen industry professionals and writers presenting on the processes and pathways for books to be adapted and optioned for screen production.

Over the coming weeks as we upload each webisode, join Author Benjamin Law (The Family Law, Gaysia: Adventures in the Queer East), Executive Producer, Screenwriter and founding Producer of Matchbox Productions Tony Ayres (The Slap, Barracuda); and Producer Julie Eckersley (The Family Law, Nowhere Boys) as they share valuable advice, talking about the challenges and successes they have experienced in adapting books for the screen.

The workshop was supported by Screen NSW and SAE Institute Byron Bay. Screenworks on Demand and these webisodes have been funded by the generous support of Screen Australia.
