OVERVIEW
Co-presented by AIDC and Screenworks, REGIONALITY is a new one-day industry program for regional documentary practitioners.
The program combines pitching, training masterclasses and networking into one jam-packed day providing exposure for regionally-based nonfiction practitioners like never before.
REGIONALITY will be held at Lennox Head Cultural Centre in northern NSW on Friday 25 June 2021.
THE REGIONALITY PITCH
As part of REGIONALITY, AIDC and Screenworks are calling for regionally-based NSW practitioners with market-ready projects across the documentary and factual sector to apply for the REGIONALITY Pitch.
This live pitching opportunity will see up to four teams selected, provided with international training, mentorship, and trailer editing, before pitching to key local and international decision makers. Post-pitch meetings between interested decision makers and pitching teams will also be facilitated by AIDC.
Mentoring of the Pitch participants will be conducted by Ikka Vehkalahti, Executive Producer, IV Films, Toinen Katse Ltd & Rough Cut Service.
The REGIONALITY Pitch will be adjudicated by three assessment committee members:
Danielle McCarthy, Marketplace Manager, AIDC
John Kassab, Independent Filmmaker and Vice President, Cinespace
