On behalf of the Screenworks Board and our staff, I would like to say big thank you to all of our members, our volunteers, our donors, our sponsors, our partners and attendees of our events during 2019.

Screenworks has achieved an incredible amount this year including 31 events, three career pathways programs, our Fearless Films and GoViral! Films projects, the Croak Development Lab with Nash Edgerton and the Van Vuuren Bros, Screen Composing Bootcamp, Screenworks On Tour events in Cairns, Broken Hill, Wagga Wagga, Shepparton and Swan Hill, and of course our first ever event in Los Angeles (a screening of Top End Wedding with Q&A with Regional Screen In LA recipient Joshua Tyler).

Almost 1,200 people have attended our events where they heard from 77 guest speakers – just some of the many speakers included David Jowsey, Rosemary Blight, Kriv Stenders, Rachel Landers, Sarah Lambert, Jason Stephens, Sue Maslin AO and representatives from Network Ten, Nine Network and the ABC.

We couldn’t achieve all of this if it wasn’t for our sponsors and partners including Screen NSW, Screen Australia, Screen Queensland, Film Victoria, Screen Tasmania, Screen Territory, South Australian Film Corporation, Screenwest, Australians in Film, Southern Cross University, FremantleMedia Australia, Enova Energy, Screenrights, Media Super, Galvaniize Insurance, Linnaeus Estate, Byron Bay Coffee Company, Ballina Shire Council, Ramada Hotel & Suites Ballina Byron, Stone & Wood Brewery, inGrained Foundation, Archie Rose Distilling Co., Fighting Chance Films, Feros Care, TAG Group, Locale Consulting, AFTRS, Screen Producers Australian and the Australian Directors Guild.

We look forward to continuing to support our members in 2020 – please keep coming to our events, please fill in our annual member satisfaction survey (see below), please keep renewing your memberships and make use of the benefits that membership provides and keep updating your membership profile on our website.

Screenworks is a membership-based organisation and we are doing this for you, our members. Together we can have a louder voice, we can support each other and we can use the organisation to connect with the industry across Australia and beyond.
