SUPPORTING NEW AND EMERGING REGIONAL FILMMAKERS
The New Kids on the Block program has been created with support from Screen NSW, Screen Queensland, Screen Tasmania, and Screen Canberra to acknowledge the costs associated with attending Regional to Global and addresses the anxiety of being a “New Kid” at any event. It will provide financial and in-person support for all successful applicants.
Each of the selected participants receives $1000 to go towards their registration, travel and accommodation. They will have the opportunity to be introduced to the other program participants in the weeks leading up to the Forum and attend a New Kids on the Block Welcome event. They will also be introduced to key members of Screenworks staff, other first time participants and guided through the venue where the forum is being held.
Screenworks’ annual Regional to Global Screen Forum is an incredible networking opportunity that provides attendees with connections to key industry decision makers and filmmakers who can help take their projects to the next level.
Set in beautiful Lennox Head, the three-day event will include an impressive lineup of guest speakers from leading Australian producers, sales agents, broadcasters, streamers, agency representatives, and industry guilds. There will be interactive panel sessions, inclusive forum discussions, workshops, roundtable talks, one-on-one meetings and lots of pitching and networking.
This is an opportunity to feel like a VIP at one of the region’s top screen industry events.
There will be five applicants selected from New South Wales, five from Queensland, three from Tasmania and two from Canberra.
