Regional to Global is set to take place from 18-20 June and we have you sorted to make sure you make the most out of the packed and impressive three-day program that will provide you with a range of opportunities for building industry connections and getting real world insights that can help bring your stories to global audiences.
We have a seriously impressive line up of guest speakers about to descend on the small coastal town of Lennox Head near Byron Bay providing the ideal relaxed and friendly setting for you to meet them in.
Single day passes are now on sale, flights are still well priced if you need to book travel, and there are still a few spaces available at the roundtables – act fast! (or you can join a waiting list).
Below are a few tips on how to get the best out of your Regional to Global experience. We look forward to seeing you there.
Which guest speakers would you like to hear from?
We recommend you go through our guest speaker list and see who you want to hear from and meet with.
Guest speakers are listed in alphabetical order. When you scroll through the list you can see the sessions they are participating in. We recommend you make a note and a calendar entry of the sessions you want to attend. Guest speaker sessions on the main stage include panel discussions and case studies.
Guest speakers include commissioners from ABC, SBS, Foxtel and Binge as well producers, writers, directors, screen agency representative, guild representatives and more.
Bury your head in the three day program
The full program is live! A great way to prepare yourself for the three days is to mark down in advance all the panels and learning opportunities you don’t want to miss.
Scroll through the ‘Agenda’ and see which sessions you would like to attend and add them to your calendar.
Months of research and planning have gone into choosing topics and case studies that are impacting the industry at the moment and important to regional filmmakers.
Some of the highlights include MEET THE CREATORS series which allows you to hear from the creatives behind some of our favourite shows and films.
Foxtel Group, SBS and ABC will also be divulging what they are currently looking for on their slate.
And don’t miss the screen guilds and industry trailblazers discuss the current hurdles and opportunities facing the Australian screen industry.
Lunchtime Learnings
In addition to all the access to learning you’ll have on the main stage, there are also Lunchtime Learning sessions for Regional to Global delegates.
These include THE DARK ART OF FUNDING APPLICATIONS with Jeanie Davison on Day 1 along with HOW TO MAKE AI WORK FOR YOU: THE INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER’S GUIDE with Kirsty Stark on Day 2.
Round tables
There are still some spots left at the coveted round tables at this year’s Regional to Global.
Round tables allow you to meet with some of the guest speakers in a smaller group setting to take a deeper dive into their area of expertise, gain invaluable advice and make a connection.
Networking events at Regional to Global
Our industry is all about collaboration and connecting with people who you’d love to work with.
One of the best parts about Regional to Global is the chance to meet screen industry professionals and other like-minded creatives in a relaxed and friendly environment.
