Screenworks has today revealed the full program of speakers and sessions for its Regional To Global Screen Forum which will be held 30th March – 1st April at Lennox Head Cultural Centre and streamed live online. 

The packed three-day forum will connect delegates with an impressive line-up of screen industry decision makers, including broadcasters, streamers and producers. 

Just some of the highlights include Looking Ahead: Platforms Tell Us What They Want, where broadcasters and streamers outline what they want to hear in pitches. Guest speakers are Katherine Brown ,Development Executive at Stan, Que Minh Luu, Netflix ANZ Director of Content, Yeesum Lo, Head of Development at Paramount, Sarah Christie, Senior Scripted Development Executive at Amazon, Jennifer Collins, Head of Entertainment and Specialist at ABC and Loani Arman, Scripted Commissioning Editor at SBS. 

Navigating The World will be moderated by Chris Oliver-Taylor, recently appointed Chief Content Officer at the ABC. In this session guest speakers including Chloe Rickard, Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Producer at Jungle Entertainment, and Matt Vitins, Chief Operating Officer at Matchbox Pictures, will talk about strategies, key markets, building international partnerships and leveraging digital platforms in order to successfully navigate international opportunities for Australian productions. 

The Partnering with a Producer session is an opportunity to find out what some of the sector’s senior producers look for when partnering with creatives.

Representatives from state and territory screen agencies will come together with Ken Crouch in his new role as Industry Development Manager, Screen Australia to discuss the opportunities in their regions including how they are working to address below the line skills gaps.

Six finalists will pitch their unique film ideas in the AACTA Pitch Regional Landscapes. Among the many prizes, the winner will receive $5000 to go toward the development of their project. The judges include Madman co-founder and CEO Paul Weigard, SBS Scripted Commissioning Editor (and previous recipient of AACTA Pitch development support) Loani Arman, and returning inaugural Regional Landscapes judge Deb Cox who, in 2020, took Regional Landscapes finalist A SUNBURNT CHRISTMAS through to production via her Every Cloud Productions and its launch on STAN.
