In this two-hour masterclass, producer Marcus Gillezeau will deliver an informative and entertaining hands-on, how-to on development, story, financing and distributing a feature documentary. Through case studies including Storm Surfers 3D, Motorkite Dreaming and his current production Own the Sky, along with other recent box office hits, he will share the facts, figures, secrets and storytelling rules for long form documentary.

Presenter Bio:

Marcus Gillezeau [Jillezo] is an AACTA and International Digital Emmy® Award winning filmmaker with over 25 years experience in blue-chip documentary production. He is best know for the ground-breaking Storm Surfers 3D and the all-media drama Scorched. His feature documentaries have been released theatrically in Australia, screened in major film festivals including Toronto and San Sebastien and have sold around the world. He has delivered to all the major networks including Discovery, National Geographic, ABC and SBS.

Marcus has authored two books including his 2004 book “Hands On – A guide to production and technologies for film, TV and new media”, and his 2013 book “Hands On – All Media Producing”, a dissertation on his experiences producing multi-platform projects and case studies of some of the world’s best all media projects.
