Applications close 5pm Thursday 28th May.

Applications are now open for submissions from people living in regional areas of NSW, Queensland, Tasmania and South Australia to apply for INSIDE AN ONLINE WRITERS ROOM. A 3 hour workshop where participants will gain valuable experience participating in a demonstration writers room being guided by multi-award-winning screenwriter and story producer Peter Mattessi.

Peter will bring an original and unique story idea to the group and then guide the participants through how to develop the concept, story, characters, and pitch. By the end of the workshop participants will have an understanding of how a writers room approaches problems, challenges, and opportunities, as well as how shows are developed at the most embryonic stage.

Each of the participants will have the experience of being part of an online writers room and be exposed to the process, tools and techniques and supported in their writing skills development.

This opportunity is open to early-career writers seeking experience in working with a team of writers to develop a story concept following standard industry procedures.

To apply to be selected for this opportunity, fill in the application form, supply a writing sample. Limit of 6 people per session.

Workshops will run 10am – 1pm.

You will be selected for one of the following dates, June, 16, 17 or 18th.

This is offered at no cost to the selected participants as it is supported by Screen NSW, Screen Queensland, Screen Tasmania and the South Australian Film Corporation.
