Screenworks Regional to Global – Australia’s premier regional screen industry forum – is set to return to the scenic town of Lennox Head New South Wales, for two action-packed days on Wednesday 9 & Thursday 10 September, 2026, with early bird tickets released today.

Supported by major government partner, Screen NSW, and financed with the assistance of Screen Australia, Regional to Global has become a highlight on Australia’s film and television sector calendar, providing delegates with access to key industry decision makers and leaders, distinctive creative voices, and talented practitioners in a relaxed and welcoming environment – including the Netflix opening night celebration.

Held annually in Lennox Head – just 15 minutes from Byron Bay – the Northern NSW based screen forum unites the vibrant regional screen community with the broader industry through an accessible and dynamic program,  including in-depth panel discussions, intimate roundtables, one-on-ones and dedicated networking events, providing a significant engagement opportunity and contributing to a rich and diverse regional Australian screen industry.

Screen NSW Executive Director, Kylie Munnich said,  “Regional to Global is a chance to bring together practitioners from across NSW, and the wider screen industry, to connect with key decision makers, collaborate and create an inclusive and vibrant screen sector. I’m thrilled that Screen NSW continues to support Screenworks and the vital opportunities they provide for regional practitioners, across their many programs, initiatives and events, including Regional to Global.”

Screen Australia Head of International & Industry Partnerships, Harry Avramidis said, “Screenworks creates a vital meeting point for regional screen practitioners and the wider industry – a place to share work and ideas, support one another and strengthen the connections that sustain our industry. These gatherings build strong community and help shape the depth and breadth of stories for Australian and Global audiences alike.”

Regional to Global draws screen industry professionals from across Australia, including filmmakers, writers, directors, producers, streaming and broadcast commissioners, executives, government screen agency representatives, and screen industry guild members. Guests gather for a program brimming with insights, and the opportunity to drive business and build industry connections to foster a thriving regional screen industry with global reach.

Screenworks Vice Chair & Interim CEO, Rodney Cambridge said, “Regional to Global is a unique event where the screen industry comes together to collaborate, share ideas, spark opportunities and build meaningful connections in a relaxed regional setting. The calibre of thought leaders and depth of talent that gather for this forum is a real reflection of the industry’s commitment to championing the rich, diverse stories and creative voices that continue to make Australian screen content so compelling for audiences around the world.

We’re thrilled to partner with Screen NSW, Screen Australia, Netflix, and our incredible community of sponsors and supporters who make this event possible, and provide opportunities for regional screen practitioners to thrive. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Lennox Head this September for a stellar program and the genuine networking and collaboration that only happens when our community comes together.”

Screenworks also welcomes the return of valued event partners including Australian Academy of Cinema & Television Arts Awards (AACTA), Australian Film Television & Radio School (AFTRS), Ballina Shire Council, Business NSW, Media Super and Screenrights – whose ongoing support helps make Regional to Global an unmissable highlight on the Australian screen industry calendar.
