Isabela Hart has this week made local Hobart news.

Now halfway through her paid placement in post-production on The Animal Sanctuary, after being selected for Regional Crew Pathways Tasmania in June, WIN Hobart checked in with Isabela to hear from her how her placement is going and what the opportunity means for her career.

“It’s such a privilege to work on a production at this scale,” she told WIN Hobart. “To be able to get my foot in the door in such an amazing place working with so many amazing people proves to me that Tasmania is very alive in the filmmaking industry.”

Regional Crew Pathways directly addresses industry-identified below-the-line skill gaps, providing valuable skills advancement while building screen production capacity in regional areas through the professional development of talented crew across Australia.

The 2026 edition of the program is the second in Tasmania, with the program this year focusing specifically on unscripted post-production skills and roles to meet local industry demands and shortages.

Regional Crew Pathways is delivered by Screenworks, backed by Netflix, and supported by Screen Tasmania in partnership with AFTRS.
