BELOW THE LINE COORDINATOR

Screenworks Below the Line Coordinator is an important role that works collaboratively within our team to deliver the Regional Crew Pathways Program which is supported by Netflix, as well as to oversee other below the line initiatives for Screenworks.

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Regional Crew Pathways Program to ensure the program outcomes are achieved, in addition you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of other below the line initiatives in consultation with the CEO.

Screenworks Regional Crew Pathways program has been run in the Northern Rivers, Far North Queensland, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, with the potential to roll out in other regions.

The Below the Line Coordinator is responsible for organising and delivering a training course, managing trainees and all elements associated with their placements to ensure they are placed on productions for a 6 months period, as well as the administration and maintenance of the Screenworks’ location and crew databases and any inbound production resources published on the Screenworks website.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare guidelines, application forms, participant feedback forms and other documentation required to deliver ‘On Boarding’ Crew Training workshops.
  • Manage all aspects associated with the ‘On Boarding’ workshops in participating regions including sourcing a venue, calling for applications, working with an education provider on the content and delivery of the workshop, assessing applications and liaising with program partners including Screen Agencies and Netflix in selecting participants.
  • Managing the selection of trainees from the ‘On Boarding’ workshops and liaising with program partners and course facilitators to make the selection.
  • Source, schedule and contract work placements for trainees.
  • Fully brief and guide trainees on program expectations and guidelines and ensure they adhere to employment terms.
  • Support trainees in settling into their placements and provide guidance when needed.
  • Regular liaison with the trainees to track their progress through their traineeships, including following up on work reports and their timesheets.
  • Manage the trainee onboarding with the production companies, overseeing agreements and logistics, responding to any variations in employment requirements and any enquiries regarding the trainees placement.
  • Ensure reports from Production Companies and trainees at the end of each placement are submitted.
  • Respond to inbound location and crew queries that come into Screenworks.
  • Maintain up-to-date records on Screenworks crew and locations databases and explore opportunities to increase the number and quality of listings in each of them.
  • Work with the CEO to design and implement other below the line initiatives as per Screenworks plans
  • Oversee and deliver other below the line initiatives for Screenworks

You may be required to assist at other Screenworks events. Depending on your skills, other short- and long-term projects may be added from time to time in consultation with the CEO

POSITION TYPE AND REMUNERATION:

This is a 3 days a week role (24 hours per week) and is offered on a fixed part time basis.

Part time employment terms

  • Annual salary $75,500 (pro rata to 3 days/24 hours per wk)
  • Includes superannuation at 12%, paid annual leave annual leave which will accrue at the rate of 1/13 of 120 hours every 4 weeks. An annual leave loading of seventeen and a half per cent (17.5%) will be paid when annual leave is taken.
  • Includes paid sick leave on full pay for eight (8) days each twelve-months.
