With the support from the inGrained Foundation and Stone & Wood Brewery, Screenworks is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Business Of Producing Scholarship Program.

Applications will close at 5pm on Thursday 28th February 2019

What is the Scholarship Program?

Screenworks’ Business of Producing Scholarship Program has been created in acknowledgement of barriers that exist that prevent regional people being able to attend these types of events.

Each of the scholarships is designed to enable attendance and participation in the 3-day 2019 Business of Producing Seminar and to ensure the greatest possible diversity of event attendees.

The range of circumstances that may have contributed to applicants’ circumstances may include:

  • financial hardship or unemployment
  • culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • excessive family responsibilities
  • difficult home circumstances
  • prolonged illness or medical condition
  • disability or caring responsibilities for people with disability
  • serious family illness

What does each scholarship include?

Each scholarship will include:

  • 3-day Conference Registration to the Business of Producing seminar (valued at $250 per person)

Who can apply?

Scholarships are open to individuals currently living in the Northern Rivers region of NSW made up of the following local council areas: Tweed Shire, Byron Shire, Ballina Shire, Lismore City, Kyogle, Richmond Valley and Clarence Valley.

The selection process will aim to redress barriers to participating in the 3-day seminar, which may be experienced by individuals who are experiencing financial hardship or other circumstances that prevents access to the event.

inGrained Foundation

In 2013, Stone & Wood established a community program which over the past 5 years has donated over $750,000 to environmental and social causes. This has been made possible through the brewery donating $1/100L, along with the team fundraising through Karma Kegs, their tasting room and at events during the year.

Last year in March, they established the inGrained Foundation. It is a national not-for-profit which supports grassroots, environmental and social charities in the local areas where they work and live. By fostering long term partnerships and responding to urgent situations of need, the Foundation aims to create sustained positive change and capacity build. Their mission is to proactively work in partnership with aligned charities to create progress in our communities while having the ability to react to provide timely support when the community needs it most.
